Here's the deal. I was heading to Seattle for my Grandpa's memorial, and I had to be in LA for SIGGRAPH 2 weeks later.

Problem: Why fly across the country twice in 2 weeks even though you are a playboy jetsetter?

Solution: Go on a 2 week roadtrip with the whole fam to fill the time. QED.
